Gypsum Powder Mesh

According to Mosby’s Dental Dictionary, gypsum is the anhydrite of calcium sulfate (CaSO4 2H2O). The powder that is mixed with water is either an alpha or a beta hemihydrate. After reacting with water, the alpha hemihydrate forms stone while the beta hemihydrate forms plaster.

In dentistry, gypsum is no doubt the most commonly used material. Most impressions are poured with gypsum. By pouring an impression with gypsum one makes a gypsum impression of an original impression. Besides, one can also use gypsum as a primary impression material in some cases.

There are two types of gypsum powder:

Gypsum Powder 100 Mesh

Gypsum Powder 100 Mesh:

This type of gypsum is specially designed for the first layer of wall and ceiling, clearing, bricks intrados, barrel arches and so.

Gypsum Powder 200 Mesh

Gypsum Powder 200 Mesh:

  • Whiteness and shininess above 95%
  • Product Micronization that causes the final layer of plaster to be flat and polished
  • Remarkable flexibility and softness
  • Great adhesion
  • Continuous wash ability
  • No cracking due to high purity
  • Late Initial setting time and fast Final setting time

This type of gypsum is used for final layer of plastering with high mesh. In addition, it is used in medicine, sculpture, decoration, GYPSUM BOARD factories and gypsum prefabricated walls.
